Our doll company was founded in 1994 by Marlene Xenis who, in the first years, worked from the basement of her home.

Marlene has had an artistic flare from childhood and was always heavily involved in theatre and music.  The need to create has always been strong in her family.  To create something unique and beautiful that makes a person smile and feel good just by gazing at it and holding it is a remarkable feeling.

Marlene is the creative mind behind all of the costume design.
Marlene was later joined by her two daughters Tania and Jesse along with a team of highly skilled artisans. The company was eventually moved into a beautiful studio on acreage in Aldgergrove, a small town just outside of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.

Tania and Jesse work together on all aspects of design, except for costumes. They are incredibly innovative women who believe that anything can be made out of wood with a disc sander, a band saw and a rotary hand tool.
Ross Adams joined Marlene in 1996. He is an amazingly talented artist who turns ideas into reality. From sculpting, to painting, to sketching Ross can do everything. The majority of the dolls get their faces painted by Ross and most of the sculpts are also created by him.
Young Ho is in charge of all the carving of our pieces. Although, he was trained by Tania, he is a classic example of the student surpassing the teacher. His skill at detail woodworking amazes everyone who sees it. Young Ho also does some of our original sculpts directly from wood.
Marjorie is an amazing seamstress who turns beautiful fabrics into stunning costumes. She is always optimistic and will do any task that needs to be finished.
Sarah is our primary motivator and is responsible for organizing all aspects of the doll assembly. Between Sarah and Marjorie we are sure to never run out of supplies or equipment.
