Cheshire Cat - new

the Cheshire Cat

“Imagination is the only weapon in the war with reality.” – Cheshire Cat

The mischievous Cheshire Cat was created as part of our "Alice in Wonderland" collection and is carved from solid wood and hand painted with that famous Cheshire smile. He is approximately 6" tall with a moveable head which swivels left and right.

The Cheshire Cat is a delightful addition to any collection!

the Custom Cheshire Cat

“And yesterday things went on just as usual. I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night? Let me think: *was* I the same when I got up this morning?”

This mischievous Cheshire Cat was created as our "Spring Giveaway". From our original 6" Cheshire Cat carving, we reimagined and resculpted him to create this sassy little guy! With a moveable ball and spring jointed head that swivels, his cheeky grin can be seen from all angles.

We will be creating a limited number of different Cheshire Cats with EACH ONE being a one-of-a-kind interpretation of the original. No two will be alike and each will boast its own unique-to-you charm! Even we won't know what each of these kitties will look like until we are finished carving so the surprise will be shared by all!

We will only be carving a limited number so be sure to reserve yours today!

The "Making of" Slide Show

We are excited to share the process of how our newest Cheshire Cat came to life.

In a world of mass production we feel so fortunate to be able to do what we do! Each of our dolls shares different aspects of the maker. Understanding that hand-hewn details are virtually impossible to imitate, we try very hard to stay true to our core values -

  creativity, sustainability and joy!

We truly hope that each of our little wooden wonders finds a happy home where they will be

admired, enjoyed and loved!

"For anyone looking to broaden their existing collection - or starting to collect- I believe wood will continue to have a special place.... It may not be large , but it is an extension of the woodcarver's art. Xenis' work in this field is especially worth collecting ..."

- E. S. Blakey, Director of the Dancing Bear Folk Center Museum
